I’m thrilled to share that my latest abstract landscape—rendered in shifting tones of ochre, gold, dusky grey, and lilac—was selected for OPEN 25, an open-call group exhibition hosted by Tarpey Gallery in Castle Donington. The exhibition opened on 30th August 2025 and runs until 19th October 2025  .

About OPEN 25

OPEN 25 brings together both emerging and established UK-based artists across a vibrant range of media—including painting, printmaking, photography, textiles, drawing, works on paper, ceramics, and sculpture  . This year’s edition features work from 135 artists from across the UK, promising a rich and inviting exploration of contemporary visual art  .

My Piece in Context

My painting has a soft, atmospheric quality with abstract landscape elements. Layers of muted tones—ochres, soft yellows, earthy browns, and dusky greys—sweep across the canvas, creating a sense of horizon and shifting light. Streaks of gold and hints of lilac suggest the fleeting glow of sunrise or sunset, capturing that liminal moment where day meets night.
